HOOD RIVER — Rebecca Coplin has been named chief administrator of Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital and its ministries in the Columbia Gorge, Chief Executive Sherri Kulink announced on Sept. 17.
Coplin has served as the chief administrator at Providence Seaside Hospital since 2021 and will begin her duties in Hood River on Oct. 20. Prior to serving in Seaside, she was the executive director of clinical programs and institutes for Providence Oregon. Earlier in her 23-year stint with Providence, she served in strategic management services and revenue cycles.
Coplin’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and chemistry from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University in St. Louis. In her spare time, Coplin enjoys camping and exploring the Northwest with her husband Mark, typically accompanied by their two college-aged sons.
During her time at Seaside, Coplin spearheaded new initiatives, prioritized facility improvements and constructed strong partnerships with the community.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Rebecca for many years and know her to be mission-driven and people-focused,” Kulink said. “Her experience with a critical access hospital and rural health will support a smooth transition in Hood River.”
