Crag Rats Collection, Album #1

Last week’s image showed Crag Rats members Elwood “Tweet” Samuels (left) and David Faulkner (right), photographed at Cloud Cap Inn during the mid-1900s. The photo now resides at Hood River History Museum. Beth Hukari remembered Samuels working at Duckwall, playing the organ, and growing orchids as well as rescuing folks off Mt. Hood. Faulkner, a photographer with the Oregonian, was an honorary Crag Rats member; he lived outside the county, but helped the Crag Rats.
