HOOD RIVER — An Earth Day work party will take place April 20 at Indian Creek Trail, Hood River. Sponsored by Hood River Watershed Group and Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation, the work party will meet 9 a.m. at Barrett Park, Alameda Road, and work until noon, planting and mulching native trees and shrubs along Indian Creek.

The project is designed to provide diverse and resilient wildlife habitat, decrease runoff and erosion into the creek, and shade and cool the creek itself. Snacks, tools, and gloves will be provided.
